Boundless growth, relentless hunt

World Boss

The whole server battles the same boss together. Covers entry requirements, how bosses fight differently, performance-based rewards, and accumulating boss seals.

World Bosses are content where the whole server fights the same boss together. You can join the fight at Lv20 (the menu appears from Lv15).

Joining the fight

Open World Boss from the main menu, check which boss has appeared, and join in.

Land even a single hit and you earn a share of the rewards. There's no need to go for the last hit.

Fighting alongside others

There's a limit on how many players can fight one boss at the same time. If it's full, you'll have to wait.

You can see who's fighting and how much HP the boss has left in real time.

Bosses fight differently

World Bosses use mechanics that ordinary monsters don't.

  • They telegraph area attacks before striking — when the warning appears, get ready.
  • They raise a barrier that blocks damage for a while.
  • As their HP drops, they change phase and their behavior shifts.
  • Some summon minions, some pass the status effects on them over to you,

and some can only be beaten by defeating the main body and its companions together.

Rewards

You receive rewards according to your contribution. They aren't delivered automatically, so you need to claim them. For a few seconds right after a kill, distribution is briefly held back — so that damage dealt at the very end still counts.

Some rewards are split, and some are rolled for each player.

  • Gold and most materials from that kill are split by share. The more players who fought, the smaller each person's cut.
  • However, each boss has exactly one material that isn't split. It goes entirely to one player in a draw weighted toward higher share.
  • Gear and Soul Remnants are rolled separately for everyone whose share exceeds 5% of the total. Someone else winning doesn't reduce your odds.

Very rarely, Remnants drop two at a time.

  • Boss Seals — if you dealt any damage at all, you get 1 per kill.
  • Otherworld Chests occasionally drop for players above the same 5% line. They're yours the moment you claim.

World Bosses are the place to hunt for finished gear. Gold and materials are just a side dish — if that's what you're after, Explore and the Spire are much better.

They don't give character EXP. Instead, the lead soul you bring along gets the EXP.

Only a few bosses give gear blueprints. Once you get a blueprint, you keep it forever.

Boss Seals — even with bad luck, you'll complete the set

Every time you defeat the same boss, you earn one of that boss's Seals. Check them under Boss Seals at the top of the World Boss screen.

With 15 Seals, you can pick any piece of that boss's set you don't have yet and receive it guaranteed. Even if the drop never comes, your effort pays off.

Some bosses don't have their own set. Their Seals can be exchanged for 1 Seal of another boss of the same level band (3 → 1).

Retrying

A defeated boss reappears after some time. You can also pay Gold to shorten the retry cooldown.
